.NET/C# Developer

VirTra is currently hiring full-time .NET/ C# Software Developers.  VirTra’s software developers have the unique opportunity to create training simulation systems that save the lives of law enforcement officers and warfighters worldwide.

Position Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess an understanding of .NET Framework.
  • Recent and proficient C# and WPF experience required.

The following skills and experience are greatly desired and preference for interviewing will be given to those candidates who have such skills.

  • Unity 3D, Prism 4, or MVVM Light experience.
  • Understanding of Design Patterns.
  • Relational Database experience (MSSQL Server/Oracle/MySQL).
  • Experience with SCRUM/AGILE development methodologies.
  • Ability to debug complex and distributed runtimes.
  • Demonstrated use of source control systems, TFS preferred.
  • Experience with Dependency Injection practices.
  • Unit Testing experience.
  • Ability to work in a mixed team and communicate clearly.
  • Game development experience.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control

VirTra Systems is currently seeking to fill a Quality Assurance/ Quality Control position.

The QA/QC position tests proprietary firearm training simulation software during all stages of development and accurately records discrepancies in the project database.  Confirms resolution of issues and assures new patches and updates are functional.  This position also tests VirTra Systems firearm training simulators to ensure superior performance within all system components (software, hardware, electronics, and firearms) during all stages of development and production.  QA/QC position will develop and follow testing sequences and schedules to ensure all aspects of software, hardware, equipment and training scenarios are tested and functioning properly.  This position reports to an experienced Production Manager.

Position Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience testing software
  • Programming knowledge is desirable
  • Knowledge of Windows OS Troubleshooting (XP & Windows7)
  • Experience with PC Networking
  • Entry-level to mid-level electronics testing experience and desktop support desired
  • Proficiency with electronic components (UPS’s, computers, speakers, cameras, projectors, wiring, etc.)

  • Ability to stay organized, meet strict deadlines, and exhibit great follow-through
  • Patience and ability to perform detailed testing for extended periods of time and consistently stay focused across multiple projects
  • Accurate and diligent data recording and data communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization
  • Good communication skills including the ability to clearly write and articulate steps to address system performance issues
  • Strong program management and multi-tasking skills
  • Passion for firearms and/or video games
